Aigul Nurbulatova, Kazakhstan Cinematographer from Turan University. An alumna of the 2018 Asian Film Academy, Aigul has actively contributed to the production of feature films and documentaries since 2018.
Her works have been showcased at various prestigious film festivals, including Cannes, Toronto, Tokyo, and Busan. Notably, her debut full-length film, "Not a Very Cool Winter" (2018) by Olga Korotko, was featured in the ACID program at the International Cannes Film Festival.
Collaborating with director Aizhan Kasymbek, Aigul played a key role in the creation of films like "Ot" and "Madina," both premiering at Busan and Tokyo International Film Festivals. In 2022, she contributed to the film "In Flames" by Pakistani indie director Zarrar Khan, which was presented in the La Quinzaine Des Cinéastes program at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
Diana Zhilkenova — a documentary filmmaker from Kazakhstan. In 2013 she graduated from KazNAI named after T. Zhurgenov with a degree in Film Directing.
During the study, she participated in filming of a 5-episode documentary film "I am 20 years old" with the support of the national film studio Kazakhfilm, the film was recognized as the "Best Documentary Film" of the national award "Tulpar". Another film "Memento mori" participated in several film festivals (Student Festival "Bastau" in Almaty; Festival "I See God" in Moscow) and in 2014 was recognized as the "Best Documentary Film" at the 3rd New York Eurasian Film Festival.
Currently, Diana is working on the creation of the author’s documentary film "The Cellar". With this project she has participated and won in pitching "Ayt" (Kazakhstan), 2020, won a special prize at "Artdocfest" pitching Riga, 2020. Then she participated in Alternativa Pitching Lab and Alternativa Impact Lab in 2023, where she won a special prize too.
